But the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go....
Don't tell the kids, but as I look out the window and wait for the kettle to boil, I'm more than half inclined to crawl back into bed and cancel the day due to lack of interest.
Yesterday's Snow found friends and brought them along for a party. The North Wind seems to have been invited, and he's really kicking up his heels. Must be Irish. Who knew?!
As vehicles drive past in a swirl of white, it looks so cold... I know it's snowy when I can see the sky moving even before I put on my glasses.
It's a perfect day for being curled up with something hot in a gargantuan mug, with a crackling fire and a good Carey Grant movie or an Ellis Peters mystery. Perfect for sitting cozily inside sticking one's tongue out at the elements.
Too bad we don't have a fire holder inside the house.
Too bad the demands of the day dictate getting mobile and actually going out in that stuff.
Oh for a "Let it Snow" evening. I'd trade it for this "Stormy Weather" morning any time. (except "it's snowin' all the time")
