A Grey Kind Of Day

Grey.

Gray.

I guess both are correct...

It really feels as though I haven't accomplished much today.

I know it's just past 3:30, but Micah will be home from school in a few minutes, and then I have to start making supper right away so everything's done before my friend picks me up at 6:15 for pottery...

Time to assess the situation:

-I did talk to the other person who is going to help with the Babysitting Course at Micah's school.

-I did send a million emails relating to the Babysitting Course.

-I did order Student Manuals from the Red Cross for the Babysitting Course.

-I did look at everything that came with the Instructor's Manual for the Babysitting Course.

-I did make Micah lunch.

-I did make Thomas a sandwich for lunch and a sandwich for supper at work.

-I did bring the hot-dog lunch order form over to the school office so Micah can stay for lunch tomorrow.

-I did not even look at the devotional I'm supposed to do for the Masquerade Party at the church tomorrow night.

-I did make a small batch of sugar cookies with the pottery cookie press, to bring to class tonight.

-I did confirm a few things about the Halloween Tea and Bake Sale at Micah's school.

-I did not wash any dishes yet today.

-I did get the last load of towels into the dryer.

I guess it wasn't a complete wash-up of a day. It just always feels less productive when so much time is spent on the computer... and not even playing games or anything!!!

I guess tomorrow I'll have to get ready for the Masquerade Party. I'm supposed to bring a Pumpkin Pie too. I might break down and buy one. (Oh, the horror!)

Oh, well. Having come to terms with the day, I'll go clean up the kitchen and get supper ready. Then I'll go to pottery class and see what my, ... uh... cylinder becomes.

  1. Life is big some days. Try not to let it suck you under, there are more of them coming.

  4. Computing is often bad for productivity, especially if the product you must make is not computer-based. And it especially makes you *feel* unproductive.

  5. I'm happy to see that you make lists too, mine however, rarely get onto the Internet.

You, by the way are amazing, you lead a double(triple, etc) as secretary, nurse, and artist while still conduct the busuness of your household, church and school! WOW!!!
