Incoherent, Random Thoughts

Possibly random... definitely drug-induced incoherence...

We just got back from our annual Minister's & Spouses retreat. Always a good time, always too short.

True to form, I got sick on the way.

And now I sit, waiting for the chicken noodle soup to simmer for 5 minutes, vainly trying to snatch at any kind of logical thought...

I found a new cough syrup.

God bless the Robitussin people and the DM cough control "for people with diabetes".  Tastes slightly foul, but it might be helping.

I had a nap this morning.

Sorry.

I should explain.

I never nap.

I was motivated today, though, because I'm signed up for a beginner pottery course.

Every Tuesday and Thursday in October, for 3 hours at a time.

I missed the first session on Tuesday, and I really don't want to miss tonight.

I might have another nap this afternoon.

After the soup.

Random thoughts...

I hate sleeping in the car.

I always get a whiplash headache the next day.

The neck support bump on the seats is always in the wrong place... usually near the top of my head. Maybe a booster seat would help...

It's good to be home.

My beautiful, wonderful, amazing Mother-In-Law cleaned the stove while I was gone. The oven hasn't been so de-crusted since I don't know when... a gleaming surprise...

I never think about how much tea I drink all day long until I'm stuck in a car, driving for 8 hours... going through tea withdrawal.

Our Church Ladies make good tea.

When there's an event that requires the million cup coffee perk, they understand the value of putting actual boiled water over actual tea bags in actual tea pots, to actually steep... none of this "tea bag in a Styrofoam cup" with "hot water for tea" in a dispenser for them.

Thank you, Church Ladies.

Tissues with lotion.

Need I say more?

Time to seek out my pillow yet again. I think the noodles from the soup have gone to my head.

  1. I think that's what the kids now-a-days call "Roba-trippin".
