I Had A Clever Blog Post Title Earlier This Afternoon Somewhere Between Home And Camrose

But now that supper is done and the time is creeping toward the sleeping hour it is completely gone.

So.

No clever titles.

No very clever thoughts by now either.

This week (dare I say it) looks to be a little quieter than it was shaping up to be when I left for the Ladies' Retreat on Friday.

Just a couple of sewing projects that must be finished.

Other than that, it will be whatever it is.

Maybe some baking. Maybe some knitting or a new skirt. I suppose I really should get the planters settled with some dirt so I can get the strawberry, pepper and tomato plants sorted out. The weather hasn't been conducive to planting things and watching them grow, but I'm sure the little plants are screaming for more root space by now.

Yeah.

Ladies' Retreat was good. The speaker was awesome, the worship was excellent and the food was great. The weather, if it was a little cool, was pleasant. I was sorry that more ladies from our church didn't come. I got to know a lot of new people from Strathmore, Breton, Calgary, Edmonton and Rosebud, though. I even found a couple of new Facebook Scrabble partners. Who could ask for anything more?!

I did notice that I wasn't as excited about "nature" this year as all the city ladies were. I think that living in The Field is a little like a year round retreat. If the neighbour would plant a field of flax, it would even look like the lake for awhile. But it was good.

And I'm getting back into the swing of things. My men can look after themselves quite adequately when they have to, but they don't seem to mind handing the cooking and cleaning back to me as soon as I'm home.

We'll see what the rest of the week brings.
