I Think It's Over

I think we survived.

We had a good Christmas.

It was our first daughter-less Yuletide, but I think we've all come through emotionally unscathed for the most part.

We had face to face conversations with both of them vie Skype and the Internet. It was good to see them and talk to our Grand baby and all.

We had a good couple of days with both boys home, and now we're easing into a week and a half or so of quieter school vacation days. No alarms to be set, no bag lunches to make, few demands on our time and energy...

A good, well needed rest.

And the weather! Pseudo-spring is lovely! On Christmas day I took a bag of garbage to the bin, and I didn't need a coat... just shirt sleeves, if you please. Crazy warm.

It has, indeed, been  a good Christmas.

I hope it has been a good celebration for all y'all as well, and that good cheer abounds as we move through the week toward New Year's Eve and whatever festivities may come.

Happy Christmas, all.

God bless us, every one.
