Funny how the taste buds can change.
I thought about that this morning while I ate my bran muffin. Used to be I'd have made sweet bran muffins and eaten them covered with butter and corn syrup.
Today I realized that the muffin (sweetened just with raisins and molasses) was being eaten with a little margarine and about half a teaspoon of liquid honey per half. (compared to probably 2 tablespoons of corn syrup per in the old days. At least.)
And it was delicious.
It used to take a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down.
These days it's half a teaspoon of Splenda.
