He Who Laughs Last...

The other day Hillary found a Disney C.D. from the library- best loved songs from Disney Movies or something. She put it on and started grooving to the beat. (Ha!- how old would that phrase make me?!)

"I wanna be where the people are" from The Little Mermaid came on, and she cranked the volume and started singing along- very loudly, with much arm movement and exaggerated vocals. "I'm going to put this song in your head forever!" she interjected at one point.

Near the end of her Little Mermaid impersonation, Thomas stuck his head in from the porch door, and said,
"Hillary- your friend is here!" When she asked which one, he named a boy's name that caused her to cease singing and blush crimson.

Thomas and I laughed and laughed and laughed.

That was...4 days ago?

The Little Mermaid song is still in my head.

Guess she had the last laugh.

..."walking around on those, what d'you call 'em? Yeah, feet!... Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they play all day in the sun, wanderin' free, wish I could be part of their world..."
