Children...

...are Noisy.

Children are messy... demanding... time consuming... irascible... easily distracted... distracting... smelly... grimy... pokey... fussy... excitable... immature...

Children are squeaky and squawky.

Children laugh.

Children cry.

They have tantrums.

They scream.

When they can talk,  they ask embarrassing questions.

Why?

When?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

How much longer?

Children are inconvenient.

They interrupt.

They disrupt.

Jesus said, "I assure you, unless you turn from your sins and become as little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." *

Children are...

Trusting.

Innocent.

Powerless.

Full of the capacity to love and to be loved.

The good, and the not so good.

Be like a child.

  2. Thanks for this, my friend. On back to school Mondays, every bit of encouragement helps me get back into the "groove". Where would we be if we didn't have "live examples" in our homes and lives!
