Picture Perfect

It was almost a pleasure to switch loads in the washer this morning.

I should have taken before and after shots, so everyone could fully appreciate the magnitude of my efforts around here. I probably would have been as annoying as a new grandparent, though... "See how beautiful it is?!  Look at the way the washing machine sparkles! You can actually see the floor! All of it!"... maybe it's a good thing I didn't.

I am very pleased with the way the basement is turning out. I'm looking forward to working my way through that stack of half finished sewing projects. That won't happen this week, though.

The rest of this week will be devoted to:

1. getting to the bottom of the ironing basket

2. sorting through 4 boxes of paper work

3. getting the bathrooms company  clean

4. getting ready for the Ministers and Spouses retreat next week.

I like ironing, so today (hopefully just today!) will not be onerous.

I like organizing, so the paperwork will be enjoyable.

I don't like cleaning bathtubs and showers, so that will be an unfortunate blip on my radar, but I like going away, so it's a necessary evil to facilitate the trip, and I like my Mother-in-law, who's coming to keep the boys from killing each other while we're gone, so I'm looking forward to a little visit with her before we leave on Monday.

I should get back to the ironing, though, if I want to get anything accomplished before lunch with Micah.

But it sure feels good to be have the laundry room tidy. And clean. And shiny. And, like Merriam-Webster says : "to [have] form[ed  it] into a coherent unity or functioning whole."

Ah, yes.

In spite of the two day drippy nose from disturbing all that dust.
