Inch By Inch

Well, it's a new day, and we're having company for lunch, and most of the chores are done.

So...

Micah's back to bed this morning.

He's been doing the "my throat hurts" or "my stomach hurts" thing just about every day... or phoning from school with "I don't feel good, can I come home?"

This morning when I looked at his throat with a spoon-for-a-tongue-depressor and a flashlight there were indeed some swollen looking little nodules presenting themselves, so I gave him Tylenol and sent him back to bed. We'll see how he feels after lunch.

It's clearing up, outside, but still quite cold.

But really, cold is all relative, isn't it?

Right now it's -1 C, (with the wind it feels like -6) and it feels COLD.

I know, however, that in less than 2 months, -1 (or even -6) would feel positively balmy, and the same weather that today has people sporting big winter coats, hats and gloves, would be reflected in sweaters and sun-glasses... possibly even shorts and sandals.

It's all perspective.

Well, I guess I should be off to clean up from breakfast and then pick out a table cloth for lunch.
