Oh, not the ones outside, although I'm sure they have their own kind of charm...
I mean the sugar cookie ones I just made with
MY NEW COOKIE PRESS!
It makes me SO happy to see the snowflake imprint on the cookies I just baked up!
Last week I threw a blob of clay on the wheel... and it just felt right.
I shaped a cookie press- a clay, flat bottomed punch.
I used a snowflake decoration from the Christmas box and imprinted the design into the bottom of the cookie press.
A couple of days later, when it had dried a bit, I carved out the snowflake shape, making it a little deeper and a little wider.
I was down at the pottery studio this afternoon to put my teapot together.
!
And while I was there Linda came in to unload the kiln.
My cookie press had been fired and was ready to go!
With incredible self control
I didn't make cookies until the vacuuming was done and the supper dishes were washed.
But I had to try it out.
And it made lovely, lovely, perfectly visible snowflakes.
Even with sugar sprinkled on them.
And it makes me unbelievably happy.
I want to see pictures!
