Calling All Cooks!

Well... Bakers really...


I've just been reminded by William Swanson, (an American fellow living in Germany) via email,  that Easter is coming and that I meant to find a recipe for a custard-y cross for my hot cross buns!


William and I need to know.


I'll begin thinking about it and looking for a recipe, but if YOU, or someone you know, makes hot cross buns with custard crosses instead of sweet, butter icing crosses, please let us know!


I'll be wanting to make them as Diabetic Friendly as possible, but send me your original, sugar laced recipe and I'll have something to work with! Email me (lauraleafriesen-at-gmail-dot-com) or leave it in the comments.


SO, your Mission, dear Readers, should you choose to accept it, is to read your cookbooks and talk to your baking relatives- to seek out, in fact, the Hot Cross Bun Custard Cross.
