"This Is It", I thought

As my wheezy lungs tried to rid my body of my right thyroid lobe at 2:00 this morning.

Then, "This is REALLY it"

As, 5 hours later, I watched my preventative Aspirin thinned blood running from my nose down the bathroom drain, having coughed so hard I broke a blood vessel or something.

Yup.

This is it.

I'm going to drip to death.

Don't get me wrong- I'm ready to go. It's just that being found, limply draped over the vanity, body drained of all it's life force, little feet swinging in the breeze from the furnace vent is a little less... glamorous?... dramatic...? than one would wish for, in the event that extreme old age is no longer an option.

I mean, obviously I haven't kicked it and the nose bleed stopped, but it makes you think.

We need more tissue, for one thing.

And my nostrils are very stretchy.

And if I stuck a test strip that's plugged into the glucose monitor up my nose would I get an accurate reading?

Things to consider.

And I hate to bring it up at a time like this but the furnace is on?????

I'll get Kleenex on the way home.

  4. As I read...I'm reliving those 5 weeks of coughing and blowing and mucus excess agony that I spent at home.

    Keep chipper, Dear.

But you just wonder where all that stuff comes from, don't you?

  5. Get thee to the doctor, silly coughing girl. Must one intervene? Seriously, though, do you need anything? Besides a new throat? When I had tonsils I would be sick like that. In desperation I sprayed Chloraseptic spray back in my throat around 2:00 in the a.m. just to get back to sleep. That works sometimes, but probably isn't doctor recommended either. Wouldn't you just love to pour boiling water down there and be done with it?

You should get to the doctor, but let me know if I should start the kettle or can help in any way.
