sweeping out the nest
Too funny! I don't think that husbands realise how much goes on at home when they aren't there (or even when they are there!) I guess you could just not make supper and see what happens. There would likely be looks of confusion all around!
I believe that was said within the context of our previous week and that we have been eating a great deal of leftovers - not that there is anything wrong with that - and the communication was meant to communicate that if you make a new meal then save me some but that if we were having leftovers then I could get those on my own when I got home.
The "norm" at peoples houses is interesting to me. It is a treat for my kids IF I make supper. Most workdays they make their own before I get home or I make a bigger meal the first day of the week and we eat it the rest of the week. We don't have guys to feed, though. That's a whole different ball game.I admire anyone who can cook every night like that. Just thinking of something to make would be enough to tire you.Hope they treated you to something nice on Sunday.
