Blog Me, Blog My Germs

I hope this is not my new normal.

Being up after midnight, that is.

I think I will be taking my first sick day at the new church.

And getting Randall to take a survey to find out where the best walk-in clinic is.

I HATE that when even the tiniest of tiny bugs gets into my system it immediately attacks my sinuses.

Which immediately get inflamed, infected and painful.

The beastly vermin then drip into my bronchial tubes, wreaking havoc to the south, a complication which in turn takes a toll on my ability to breathe and sleep.

So, being unfit for public consumption,

I fully expect to keep my coughing, germ-ridden self at home tomorrow morning.

I could wave at people from the window, though.

I'll see how it goes.

If I'm not coughing too badly, I might wander over at coffee time. At least my noises wouldn't be as disruptive with the coffee crowd rumblings for cover.

But we'll just have to see.

  1. I suffer with sinus problems, too. Obviously yours move much deeper than that, but I've discovered this gadget called a Neti Pot. It is awesome for irrigating the sinuses and I found it helpful to get through my most recent sinus problem last week. Warning - it's not pretty and should be done privately! Tee hee! Google it. Found one here at Crescent Height's Pharmacy for around $15.00.

  2. I was going to suggest the Neti pot also. Like you I suffer from bad sinuses when I get the slightest bug too. I bought one here in our local pharmacy (small town) for $16.00 I used it a couple times already, and I noticed that my sinuses are doing a bit better. I am at least not stuffy at night.
and yes, warning, do this procedure ALONE. Otherwise your husband will make you laugh during the event and that is NOT a good thing!
