Make That The Big Spoon

I went to bed Saturday night feeling not quite right, and woke up Sunday with sore throat and neck glands and the beginning of tightness in my bronchial passages.

By last night I was dreaming that when I took a big soup spoon and dug it into my ear I pulled out a heaping spoonful of mounded brownness. It looked like chocolate pudding cake, and when I tasted it, sure enough it was.

Every time my ears itched today I remembered that crazy spoonful of chocolate cake.

Every time I coughed today my head hurt, but that's another story, and not one that comes with a dream.

I'm just about ready for MOPS tomorrow.

I have all the dry ingredients for the baked oatmeal mixed up (one large batch of plain, one of chocolate chip and a double of raisin), and I had just mixed up the eggs & milk for the double batch of raisin when The Husband informed me that the "C" word has been bandied about a bit tonight.

So I stopped mixing up wet ingredients. It won't take long in the morning if nothing changes, and if worse comes to worst, I won't have four 9x13 pans of baked oatmeal to do something with.

Ah, well.

I have it in hand, I think, so I'm not too worried.

As long as I can contain the coughing so as to not put people off.

Time for a hot toddy, me thinks, and an early retreat back to dreamland.

Mmm...chocolate...
