This afternoon our girl and her husband made it over the border, leaping the final hurtle on their journey to his homeland in Wisconsin.
She's following her heart, which is a good thing, and my grandbaby will be close to her other grandparents, which is a good thing, and it's just the United States, barely a foreign country,
There was a brief moment earlier this evening, when I had an image of her in the "Stardust" movie, walking through the gap in the wall, disappearing in the leafy, green darkness of the woods.
I know it won't be much different from when they were over the mountains; Skype and the Internet will be the same...
But tonight she feels kind of far away.
