I'm Not Sure If It's The Sunshine

Or the fact that it's been a quiet, more normal Saturday morning than we've had for a long time,

But it's been a good  morning.

I always feel fairly content and cozy when we can sleep in a bit and there's time to meander through the day.

Today it was my hazelnut coffee blend with scratch pancakes, sausages and eggs for brunch; and as it was a very late brunch, we should be good until supper, which is nice.

Although I think I've missed a candle party, which I have to double check and for which I'll have to apologize if it was indeed today as I suspect, it has been a good day so far.

A load of towels is hanging on the line to dry, the first big meal of the day is done and nearly cleaned up, the sun is shining brightly, and the roses my husband brought me "just because" are opening up nicely and smelling like roses while I type at the kitchen table.

If the cough would be done it would be a perfect day.

As it is, we'll go with good, and get the last of the brunch things cleared away before heading to the sewing room to finish a Christmas project I've been working on.

Oh, alright.

Just one more cup of coffee...
