Ooh, That Smarts

Brother the elder: Check out that Smart Car!


Brother the younger: What smart car? Where?


Brother the elder: Over there! Smart Car! S.M.R.T.


Full 30 second pause.


Brother the elder: I mean S.M.A.R.T.


 


 


Neither of them fully appreciated the oxymoronic value of their exchange- or the grin causing joy it brought me.

    That reminds me of Homer Simpson...one episode he is dancing around saying "I am so smart, SMRT, I mean SMART." Haha, anyway...

    Reminds me of the question one of my sister's students asked her "Miss H, can you tell me what 'clarify' means"? He was dead serious and she was hysterical.
