I looked at the Calendar this morning and realized that today is the first day of December.
December 1.
The snow blowing off the roof would indicate that indeed, Christmas is on the way.
The pretty lights on our neighbor's house would also lend credence to such a belief.
Seasonal decorations have been going up everywhere since Halloween.
I am not ready for Christmas.
Not on any level.
Well, probably on some level, but not on any conscious, thinking, practically prepared level.
Three weeks and 2 days until Christmas Eve.
Two weeks until our annual Open House.
Yikes.
I made a list, this morning, of what needs to be done before the Open House.
It's almost daunting! Makes me think I should find some motivation somewhere.
It's probably nothing that a little Christmas music and gingerbread cookies can't help fix.
Christmas Day is in our grasp, as long as we have hands to clasp.
