And We're Back, In Three- Two- One...

Home again.

I'm still not 100% sure that this house feels like home yet, but like I told Randall when he hugged me at the bus depot I had an epiphany during the trip: he is home.

When I'm with him, I'm home.

The whole house thing will come in time.

So.

In spite of my website being inaccessible after the first night, I had a pretty good day and a half.

It was quite boring, much of the time, but the kids seemed happy to see me, and the time I spent with them was good.

Hillary and I shared her bed.

Yeah, that surprised me too. Not only has she come a long way personal-space-wise, but I was pleased that the two of us even fit! I don't think we would have 2 years ago.

Missions week at the Bible School was always an interesting time. Maybe more on that later.

I saw some people I didn't expect to see, and didn't see some people I had hoped to.

I did a lot of waiting in the dining hall.

I did a lot of knitting in the dining hall, while waiting.

It was a little strange being back there. Things are very different, of course. It was a little surreal being in the girls' dorm again.

But now I'm back, and there's the first "official" church service tomorrow.

And it's late no matter how you slice it. Even taking the time change into consideration.

So, for now,

To sleep, perchance to dream.

  1. Wear those four inch heels so you don't get looked down on this first day!

Will be praying for you guys this morning - not sure what time you guys worship. Maybe you'll be starting about the time we finish.

  2. Glad you could spend time with your chillin'....just chillin'

All you need is time, as you said, to make the house feel like home.

Greet the Lord of the Manor from us, too.

  3. I felt the same way after Steve was finished. I didn't really care where we were as long as we were together.

Glad you had a good trip north!
