Earlier this week I bought some store brand, instant butterscotch pudding at WalMart.
I mixed it up and we had it for dessert.
There was a little left over, so I put it in the fridge.
Micah wanted to save his portion for later, so I left his on the counter.
The next morning I entered the kitchen to find that Micah hadn't, in fact, eaten his pudding later. And it had turned a lovely, if strange, shade of green.
I actually thought it was pistachio pudding until I remembered that I had made butterscotch...
The stuff in the fridge was also turning pistachio pudding green.
Weird.
Having the middle aged memory capacity that I do, I forgot about the leftover pudding until just a few minutes ago when I was cleaning out the fridge for supper.
I saw a little container with a lovely, creamy looking, lilac coloured substance in it.
IT WAS THE BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING!!!
So, now that I am completely turned off instant butterscotch pudding of the non-Jello sort,
I'm wondering what they put into it that turned it from butterscotch brown to pistacchio green to... lilac?!
Scary
Don't. Buy. Instant. Pudding. Ever.
