I Will Be Hiding My Own Easter Eggs, At This Rate

Last week I bought way too much candy for Christmas.

This included treats for the kids' Christmas Bowls, as well as some goodies for putting on coffee tables in pretty dishes, and candy for decorating gingerbread houses.

I also purchased a few of my own favourite treats; things that can be eaten one at a time. Some Bridge Mix, and some Mini All-sorts.

There's one problem, though.

When I sorted the sweet things out- dividing the gingerbread candy into three bags for three kids, and separating the bowl gifts appropriately, and filling candy dishes, I also put my treats somewhere.

Having put them away, I promptly put them out of my mind.

A couple of days ago, memory started pricking, and I had a vague recollection that there was something missing. When I remembered that I had bought these things, I started trying to remember where I'd put them, to no avail.

All the logical hiding places showed zero return.

I soon moved on to less logical spots.

Now, three days later, I'm flummoxed.

I suppose the next step will be to pull out the ladder and check all the top shelves. Maybe I thought that if I couldn't reach it, I wouldn't eat it...

I think that's the worst- trying to imagine what I might have been thinking, in order to unravel the mystery of the hidden loot.

My brain is a complicated organ. I don't even know how I think sometimes.

I'll let you know when I find it.

If I find it.

  3. Have you looked in the hardly-ever-used canisters or sugar bowl? Under the t-towels, table cloths, etc?
    How about the linen closet?
When I cleaned out stuff this spring I found last years Halloween candy that I bought on sale in August.
It's the Bridge Mixture thats criminal to lose!
