The Grass Widow

Day two of my husband-less existence.

We're doing alright, except for the getting to bed at a decent time thing.

I'll try again tonight. I'll do better. Really I will. I'm motivated to get sleep tonight and tomorrow night, because the Pastor's and Spouses retreat starts Monday, and we have to drive to Canmore for that... and I don't want to be too pooped to party.

I was all twisted out of shape last week, but I went to the Chiropractor this morning, and he straightened me out. He's good that way. I had a headache for a good part of the week, and like I told him this morning, I'm pretty sure I've wacked my head on the van frame a couple of times, but I have a habit of doing things like that, then forgetting what I did to make my _____ (fill in the blank) hurt so much. I also tell myself, "Ooh- that will make a big bruise tomorrow... and I'll forget where it came from when I notice it" and I do.

But, the head feels a little straighter, and the back, though still slightly sore, feels better.

And next week, after the retreat, I will again attempt to get myself and my big green box of pottery supplies to the Art Centre to play with clay.

It's good to have a goal.
